Bio
Andi Pilecki Eliza-Christie (she/they) is a licensed professional counselor and psychoanalyst with a practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a faculty member of the International Psychotherapy Institute (IPI) and its psychoanalytic training program, IIPT. Andi is the chair of IPI’s Committee on Diversities and Intersectionality, and currently serves on the IIPT Admissions, Curriculum, and Candidate Progress committees. In their published writing, Andi has explored the role of the internet as a transitional space for transgender and gender diverse adolescents and adults, the impact of familial and sociocultural contexts on LGBTQ+ identities, and the interplay between social and psychic structures in the pandemic era. She was the recipient of the 2023 Ralph E. Roughton Award for her paper, "Surviving Charitable Hatred: Spiritual violence and queer resilience." They are an editorial associate with the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association (JAPA), and a member of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA) and the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsA). Andi is the co-chair of APsA’s Committee on Gender and Sexuality (COGS).
